Included is assessment of your head and neck as well as all oral tissues.

All new clients will receive this dental hygiene exam to identify your specific dental hygiene needs and risk factors. This includes an evaluation of your gingiva (gum) visually and measurements of your gum and bone. A diagnosis is made and reviewed with you. This guides our treatment planning so together we can achieve your optimum oral health.  Your oral health findings will be reassessed at every visit.

Scaling

Scaling is  the removal of plaque and calculus (tarter) that is attaches to the surface of the tooth. The removal of this deposit and associated bacteria is performed above and below the the gum. The removal of the deposits is done gently with specific hand instruments and an ultrasonic scaling tool. 

Root Planing

When microorganisms embed into the cementum and surface dentin of the root, root planing is preformed to remove these disease causing bacteria from your tooth. In addition, the root surface is smoothed which promotes healing and reduces the ability for bacteria to adhere to the root again.

This is the application of various materials for cavity prevention and teeth desensitization. 

This procedure fills in deep, narrow groves & pits in teeth to prevent dental decay.

Prophylaxis (polishing) removes stains adhering to the outside of your teeth.

Intrinsic teeth whitening safely lifts deep stain and enhances your natural colour.

In office whitening requires one visit with exceptional dental office grade materials.  Total relaxation while everything is done for you.  Assessment and treatment given by a Registered Dental Hygienist. The cost is $300.00 (which is below the BCDHA fee guide recommendation).

At home solutions include an assessment and a customized product created for you. Instruction is given for self application. These trays are convenient and last a life-time.

Nutrition and diet counseling in collaboration with you to prevent irreversible damage to your teeth and mouth.  We provide information to promote the longevity of your teeth, gums.

To further assist in the process of quitting smoking, referrals are made (when a client is ready) to an effective program delivered by BC Lung Association.

With so many products and myths on social media today, we very happily help you navigate your actual specific needs using evidence based information.

We are here to assist you in achieving overall general wellness and of course optimum oral health.  Oral health referrals are made as needed for easy collaboration of care.

Also, referrals for general health and mental health are also arranged if you require assistance. Complete care is our goal.

Just as the majority of insurance companies accept Dental office services,  they also do for Dental Hygiene office services.  As a courtesy, we provide invoicing to your provider.
